The advice to begin the journey to the Hedgefund Industry to do one thing everyday to get to your dream is actually a difficult one. Most people intend to do this one thing and certainly plan to do it but never get around to it. I reminded a close friend of mine to do something and the response was, "I will do it tomorrow." I reminded that he has said that several times and he admitted that it is easier to procrastinate. We really milked that joke! I said that procrastination is the one thing that gets done excellently: no effort is required.
With that said, I am determined to put in 1 hour daily of doing one quantifiable activity to increase my chances of entering this industry. As a matter of fact, I will contact a friend of mine who is a hedgefund administrator and ask her if I can get 1 to 2 hours of internship with her company. The most she can say is no.
